That's why I've never given a cent to these streaming services. I've always pirated anime. Until they come up with a service that provides something that piracy does not, then I will be more than happy to pay to watch anime. People who pay for these streaming services because they feel guilty about pirating anime are responsible for keeping these failures of companies afloat. If everyone decided to cancel their subscriptions overnight and pirate instead, we would eventually get better services as different companies try to capitalise on the market.
Think about how much game piracy has gone down because of Steam. If you provide a good enough service then people will see no reason to pirate.

Funny enough, some of the Japanese anime artists complain that their share of revenue from Funimation is virtually zero so they don't even care if Westerners pirate the shit.
