Nah, I've tried doing that and have done more harm than good, I'd be more likely to break my computer than anything

At least you find games interesting. I haven't recently, even though I bought a new pc. Will have to set it up some time soon and start playing whatever I want on any graphics, with any mods I want, then hopefully I will get back into it.

You just need to buy a proper gaming pc your first time - not cheap shit - and one that comes with a good case. A good, big case allows for easy management and additions/swaps.

I bought a top tier one recently and it will probably be 5-10 years till I need to replace anything, and probably just the GPU which will be like 500-1000 euros.

I'm very satisfied with my series x, gamepass has a huge catalogue of games that I get to play without paying the full price, a lot of them are new releases too, so I don't even have to worry about being left out.
