I cannot open any sub right now without seeing men insist again and again that their specific marginalization (trans, disabled, they don't drive a jeep) is the one axis of oppression in the whole entire world that has zero women affected by it. "Oh when you say you hate men because of the choices we make to harm you you're AKSHUALLY saying you hate me for being transgender!!"

There's an absolutely insane push right now to legitimize "transandrophobia" as an axis of oppression, but all of the arguments as to how it exists either a) forget trans women also exist and also face transphobia OR b) just repeat the bioessentialist playbook beat for beat. It's a generation of men who didn't ID as men until their teens or twenties suddenly facing the reality of women's justified mistrust from the outside and instead of responding with deep empathy because of their experiences they just get mad.
