1080p is too blurry for me, I wouldn't handle 900p. 75hz are not a big departure in terms of frame time from 60, 120hz is a reasonable target.
I really like 4k, so no.

I like playing games in 4:3 with a high refresh rate (< 1ms, 144hz+), but a lot of modern games don't support 4:3.

I've been a consolefag for most of my life so 75hz doesn't bother me that much, but I wouldn't consider it a "gold standard" by any means.
