My friend calls himself an incel, but honestly, he's more of a fakecel. It's not that he doesn't have a chance, it's that he refuses to even try. He makes no effort to improve his life, his mindset, or how he presents himself. Instead, he keeps spiraling on purpose, almost like he wants to hit rock bottom just so he can complain and play the victim. He keeps saying he’s "over" and hopeless, but the truth is, he’s chosen that narrative because it’s easier than actually changing.
And honestly, it's kind of insulting. I’m out here genuinely trying, I’m putting in effort, pushing myself, working on things, and still struggling. So to watch him just give up and act like he’s beyond saving, while doing nothing to help himself, feels like a slap in the face. It’s like he’s mocking the effort that people like me put in. He wears hopelessness like it’s an identity, not a reality. There’s a big difference between being stuck and choosing to stay stuck.
