ngl I never understood why wasting hours farming resources so you can say you "didn't cheat" was a point of valour.

There's one even better , although with mods which revamped Sanctuary Hills into a huge working city

For leveling I guess.

Do a bunch of side quests while farming the necessary building materials.

And then go back into the settlement to just mindlessly build and decorate for hours.

Ingenious move from Bethesda tbh... Adding minecraft elements to an open world rpg game.
