In today's class my foid teacher was giving lecture on manegement and she started going in a tangent how hard is to manage a house bla bla bla.

I was trying not to laugh cause how is house chores and managing a home in general could be as hard as 9-5 job. It's take like 30 min to vaccum,and to throw laundry in washing machine.Only chores which take some effort is child rearing and cooking which we know they aren't doing a good job.

If you have children I think it can be hard.

But without children doing chores is not hard. I never understood the concept either. I can do a light cleaning of my house, wash the dishes, do the laundry and take out the trash in 30 minutes. I do a light cleaning every day.

Thanks to modern technology these tasks are mostly automated(washing machines, dish washers, roomba, etc). So I don’t get why it’s hard

A more thorough cleaning would take me an hour at most. I do it once a week.

I don’t mow the lawn but it wouldn’t take me more than 1 hour a couple times a month

I cook too. I sometimes do meal prep. Depending on what I want to make for the week it takes me 1-3 hours to prepare meals for the week.

3 hours divided by 7 days is 0.43. If those hours were distributed equally across the week it would take me 0.43 hours to cook meals for that day.
