That’s a real guy on TikTok who claims to be a looksmaxxer, if you look at his glow up video he is still decent looking in his ‘before’.
This is the case for every looksmaxxer who looks good now. Either that or they were simply fat before. Or they just went through puberty.
There are no looksmaxxers who started off blackops2cel tier and made it to even MTN. At least none that I'm aware of, and i've seen plenty over the years.
There are some legitimate looksmaxxing things but the problem is there's so much snake oil and broscience these days that you can't fault anyone for coming to the conclusion that it's all a scam.

Yeah getting lean makes you more attractive if you have good craniofacial features to begin with. There are also some maxillofacial surgeries that can yield dramatic results for people with jaw deformities. Above all else though, the only way for a facially ugly adult to have a chance at becoming significantly better looking is through very invasive surgical intervention, and this assumes that the flaws are fixable (some aren't) and the surgeries go well.
But tik tok is full of "looksmaxxers" advocating for silly shit like eye massages to change your eye shape, or eating raw meat or whatever.
Another thing is the way your skull and facial features develop is purely genetic. Your genes have the blueprint for how your skull and facial features will develop and there's no magical foods you can feed a child with bad genetics to turn him into a Chad. If the way your face developed was more environmental then by logical extension north koreans would all be hideous abominations. Yet most are normie(ish) looking.
Getting back to the point, these tik tok "looksmaxxer" "influencers" can't sell you cosmetic/maxillofacial surgery, so instead they sell snake oil and promote broscience for $$$ and views.

But I’m a little knowledgeable on that stuff, I know all of my failos and know what I could buy to try and fix them. However I’m poor so it just means that I know why I’m ugly now and there’s nothing I could do to fix it
I've gotten some surgeries to fix some of my flaws, but my most crippling flaw is unfixable. The upper part of my maxilla, the part that supports the nose, is very long and contrary to what people on lookism claim, none of the lefort surgeries shorten that part of the maxilla. Not even lefort 2 or 3.
I have a very bad overjet, and recessed infra orbitals. I don’t know if it’s due to the overjet but it’s very bad and my sclera show is horrible. My maxilla is obviously flat too
