Quick post that came to mind from a discussion of if foids are below or above other animals, and I remembered something across several nature documentaries. I will start with lions as this is the most common, the structure of a lion pride is one male and a bunch of females that basically do all the work where all the other males wonder the wild alone having to hunt for themselves, in which they do not usually make it very long (wonder what that reminds me of
.) But sometimes a male lion will fight another male lion for ownership of the pride, if he wins over the existing male he will kill him and attempt to kill all his offspring, however, the females of the pride will try and hide and protect their cubs even though they are off inferior genetics to the new male, unlike human foids who will happily throw their kids under the bus for chad (observe child abuse statistics by gender of parent.) This is common behaviour in a lot of pack animals, and what's even worse is foids have a longer gestation period which makes their existing kids worth even more.
That being said the female lions still fuck the new male after he kills their kids so moral of the story: all females across the mamal kingdom are awful.
