I think the most frequent pairing among Harry Potter fanfiction (or at least one of the top 3) is Hermoine and Draco Malfoy. Which is weird if you read the books as a boy and thought he was kind of a prick with almost no real W moments in the entire series. But not as weird once you realize he is 1) rich 2) handsome 3) wizard nobility 4) a criminal who at least attempted murder 5) but also high status in wizard society. No girl wants Neville or even Ron, despite them both being heroes. Snape is another favorite. Older, in a position of power and authority, dangerous and deadly and emotionally abusive, but also hurting deep inside, with an emotional wound that allows for him to be connected with and tamed.

Not always true. Some men, some i know in these communities were raped as children by men/women. And not just regular sex, but brutally "toyed" with in horrible ways. Women do commit sexual violence. Society just doesnt give a fuck.
