I remember one couple who ended up having a pair of twins who both had a muscle degenerative disorder. You'd think after producing twins that wouldn't live past 25 would give them pause on having more, but no they then popped out ANOTHER kid, who also had the same disease. Like you'd have to be genuinely evil to ever consider putting another kid through that.

I'm sure the father wanted to abort the next child, but its her body and her choice sweetums, so she probably forced him to live with another failed child spawn.

Unbelievable, there are possibilities to get healthy kids despite suffering from a hereditary disease or having a predisposition for it like in-vitro-fertilisation and genetic screenings afterwards, but such a thing should be forbidden. You have to be a soulless monstrosity to put a child in the world while you only see it suffer and perish. If unrestricted freedom ultimately results in this, I see no problem in restricting the freedom of people.

I genuinely don't know. Reading this makes my blood boil. Imagine being that child, imagine seeing your own body fall apart while the life just begins for other people. While they enjoy the time of their life, you become weaker and weaker until the inevitable death comes, all while your peers graduate from university, travel around the world and marry. And if I knew that my parents knew what would happen I could unironically not say what I would do in that position.
