Post your favorite or worst flags - Present or historical - city, province, national ect.

I admire numerous flags. For simple tricolor flags, I'll say Estonia and Bulgaria are my favorite. Flags with blue and white stripes are very aesthetic too - Cuba, Uruguay, and most of all, Greece.

I also appreciate socialist flags, see the Soviet Socialist Republics

In which the Latvian SSR flag is my favorite.

As for US state flags, many of them suck ass. Arizona is good, and the California flag is an example of where letters on a flag can work. Maryland is nice too. I'm iffy on Colorado and Ohio.

I have most memorized, I confuse a lot of African flags with each other though.

Good for pointing out Mozambique I was thinking about that one when I made this post. The AK-47 over the book symbolizes revolution (Fighting + reading political theory). Mozambique used to be Marxist-Leninist (albeit in civil war) but the the party became social-democratic after the fall of the USSR. This happened to Angola too, which also has a cool flag with socialist roots.

Africa is where I had the most trouble too, they're so similar to each other and flags outside of Africa. I'd always mix up Mali and Guinea, and Romania, Ireland and Ivory Coast.

It is well designed. The Canadian flag is recognized world wide because of the iconic and easily replicable emblem, the maple leaf, and the simple two color design of a pale with red and white. There is no possible argument that can be made against the aesthetic of the Canadian flag. However, brainlets may try to use an ad hominem argument equating the flag of Canada to its government or people.
