i don't know how i feel about the ending

very boring game

I played part 1. I really don't want to buy a PS5 Just to play part 2. Apparently it's going to be released on the Switch 2. I liked FF7.

Switch 2, woah? Didn't know that.

I partly regret buying the PS5 because most of the games I like or interested in, can be played on the PS4 anyway. Huge dump of money considering how much more expensive the PS5 is compared to the PS4 (which is waaaay cheaper).

However, the PS5 became slightly cheaper with the PS5 pro having camed out, sometime ago.

I play on Xbox and only get a PlayStation for the exclusives. I really don't play games that much especially not enough to spend $500 just to play less than 5 games. Another thing I just read is that the FF7 remake could possibly come to the Xbox. So maybe I'll just wait and see what happens. I'm probably going to get a Switch 2 but not right away so they fix whatever release issues there are.

It's sad that Square Enix has come so low in their quality of games after X. I didn't finish X-2 and XII, and I'm never gonna play XIV. But goddamn, everything else they released was shit. It's not surprising that they got desperate and started milking FF7, I miss the good old days. FF16 has okay combat, but not enough to be a masterpiece. It is a shame, but gameplay-wise, I believe it is the best one they've launched after X, unfortunately. :feelsbadman::feelsbadman::feelsbadman:

they're definitely trying to milk ff7, they broke it up in parts.

planning to play ff16 and ff15. how did you find them?

i suspect the novelty worn off a while ago. hardly any bangers, of course, and also being that everything is more commercialized, and less authentic/genuine.

FF15 I played when I was a teenager. I remember loving it, but when I replayed it a couple of years later, I found it to be complete dogshit. I will definitely say it is worth playing at least once. It is infinitely better than 13, that's for sure. But trying to make an FF game into a Kingdom Hearts was a miserable attempt, to say the least. The combat is inferior to kingdom hearts in some many ways, it is unbelievable that it is the same team.

I played FF16 a month after it came out. I was hyped, but it was dumb of me to expect anything good from the new Square Enix. The story was disappointing, the side quests are padding, only the companions side quests are worth, and they are in the end of the game only, the combat is too easy the first time around. Only in New Game+ do things spice up. The game tries to merge DMC fundamentals with a JRPG and fails miserably because it is balanced around abilities and not combo variation. In the end, you'll just end up spamming your way through the combat because the air combat is limited as hell. Clive has only one weapon and only a few abilities are usable in the air, so the DMC mechanics are worthless in this game. They dropped the ball hard trying to appease FF fans while making a DMC wannabe game. It just doesn't work. Strangers of Paradise has much more fun combat, and it is GROUNDED. :feelshaha::feelshaha:

They probably saw the success of Kingdom Hearts and wanted to emulate that with Final Fantasy. I suppose it makes sense on the surface because Kingdom Hearts features some Final Fantasy characters and themes. FF7 Remake ncorporates the slow-motion effect (and thought that was interesting). However, out of Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, and 3... I'd say 2 is the best.

That said, while FF15 and FF16 sound a bit lopsided, the way you explained them makes me more eager to try them in the future (they're already sort of on my list anyway). My combat style is pretty simple anyway, I usually just spam one or two moves, and so it will workout for me lol.
