It’s the only way I escape reality. I imagine myself as a completely different person, living the life I’ve always dreamed of. Another realm where I’m not laughed at for my ugly looks, for how differently I act, for everything I am. I am happier there, being everything I’m not.

I spend at least 14 hours a day indulging in fiction, imagining myself as someone else. It may seem delusional, but it’s the only way I know to deal with reality.

I wonder if anyone else can relate. For me, I can say with confidence that without fiction, there would be no reason for me to be alive. It’s what keeps me alive. Comics, cartoons, games - pure fiction, give me brief moments of happiness, enough to keep me from returning to the dreadful, incessant and cruel reality.

Scum of sOYciety like me just keeps existing, leeching off everyone and everything like a parasite. Fiction is the dream life I never have, one that never disappoints me because it is, after all, still fiction. It’s absurd how something unreal can give me more happiness than this life ever could.

I feel the same way, we're like don quixote:bigbrain:

Fictional worlds are depressing because their not real, there's no ideal fictional world to escape to.
What's more, I wish I could write and draw fiction, but I can't because I have severe creators block.

I only care about art, comics and stories. If it weren't for that I would have died long ago.
