"In biology, mother's curse is an evolutionary effect that males inherit deleterious mitochondrial genome (mtDNA)mutations from their mother, while those mutations are beneficial, neutral or less deleterious to females."
"If mtDNA mutations deleterious to male fitness could not be selected against, they would reach a high frequency despite of the high fitness cost for males. Eventually, detrimental mutations would be fixed and lead to species extinction. However, we have not observed extinction in spite of high mutation load of mtDNA. So there must be ways that species could decrease the effects of male-specific deleterious mtDNA mutations.[2]"

"If mitochondrial genes change in a way that harms females, they’ll be weeded out – after all, females are their only ticket to the next generation. But if the genes change to harm males, that’s okay – males are a dead-end."[NM]
"Rather, some level of inbreeding is required to maintain male-fertile mitochondria by promoting the spread of mitochondria with beneficial effects on male fertility (i.e., sFF♂ > 0) and, at the same time, limiting the spread of mutations deleterious for male fertility fitness (i.e., sFF♂ < 0). Importantly, there are conditions (in the bottom right quadrant of Fig. 1), where, despite a positive effect on female viability fitness, the C1 allele does not spread through the population because of the combination of inbreeding rates and the deleterious effect on male fertility (0 < s♀ < f sFF♂)."
Reversing mother’s curse: selection on male mitochondrial fitness effects
When allowed to breed on their own, females will select for males that benefit them only- their sons and cumulatively the male descent of females that select for such males inherit more and more genetic damage, live shorter lives, and generally lose stamina over time.
When females are forced to select males that are, god forbid, related to them, or even within a smallish tribe where there is some large amount of shared DNA, the odds are that there will be genetic consequences which neutralize and can even reverse such genetic flaws.
This is a followup to the blackpill about how Females are hardwired to select males who are poor providers, attractive, and very promisc.
As a cumulative consequence, chad is not only a goodlooking disloyal male slut, but he's also a slacker who ages quickly and dies young. Just as mother nature intended.
