Yeah, it’s a nice car. It’s not junk just because of this. Likely just a bad alternator. The battery died and it lost spark. I hooked it up to a jump start and it ran again, but ran shitty likely due to low voltage. Hopefully a new alternator will fix it and the engine didn’t get damaged at all. I can’t fix it myself though, so hopefully some of my relatives will help. My father and I would have fixed it together, be he died recently

Alternator failed and battery died at a stop sign, so the engine stalled from lack of spark. Had to push it to the side of the road and then jump start it with my truck to get enough juice in the battery to limp the car back home. It has an engine misfire now, but that is likely due to insufficient power in the system
Yeah that strategy gets old quick. Real happiness comes from being able to achieve things on your own.
