What;s your favorite artwork (generally defined to include literary, philosophical, visual-artistic, multimedia, theatrical, etc. works) that deal with "the death of God," atheological and depressing themes, suicide, etc.?
I'm talking about works like Waiting for Godot, Doctor Faustus Lights the Lights, American Psycho, Francis Bacon (painter), etc.
It can be modernist/postmodernist but doesn't have to be.
