II is good as well
The first one, it started it, and has actual dune coons fighting.
Only ones I've played are the first one, black flag and unity. Black flag was my favourite of the bunch, it has nothing to do with assassins, I just really liked the pirate theme.

I have only ever played unity. Simply parkouring around was very fun on its own. Great game but story can be suifuel at times cause the main character is a mogger.
