People have accused fascism and right nationalism of being "hateful" and "self destructive" ideologies because it "needs an external enemy" until there are no more enemies to hate, in which they turn inwards, targeting those who are not "pure enough".

But while there are internal struggles in both left and right wing groups, I found them more common in far left, communistic groups.

History has shown, when it comes to internal genocides/purges, nothing truly beats the left.

Right, don't forget about the Sino-Soviet split, when the pro-Chinese communists in the West hated the USSR more than the Western far right and Maoists called for the destruction of the USSR because Khrushchev condemned Stalin's personality cult and repressions, all the pro-Chinese communists accused Khrushchev of revisionism, and Soviet communism began to be called social imperialism. The Chinese even attacked some Soviet island during the Cultural Revolution, because they considered this island theirs, it was called Damansky, and Brezhnev gave the order to start nuclear strikes on China, but then Nixon called both sides and was able to convince them to stop the war. No one cares about the purity of their ranks as fanatically as the extreme left (communists) and no one hates each other more within political factions than the left: I have already given the example of conflicts between pro-Chinese communists and pro-Soviet communists. Or the conflict between Trotsky's and Stalin's supporters in the late 1920s and early 1930s in the USSR, when Stalin exterminated all Trotskyists in the party and army.
