4 is better in this regard. Not much foid bullshit. Primal is my favourite though. You just gotta learn to ignore all the suifuel if you wanna comsume any sort of media. I like playing games so i give the games with their suifuel a pass. It's whatever.

I like games with creatures a lot. I wanted to pirate ARK but it is 400 gb's so i dropped the idea lol. All the cool animals and taming and riding them was so fun in primal. Also i loved the bow and arrow. I liked bows in other far cry's too. Headshotting all the ooga boogas with the bow was so fun and satisfying. I never used the spear or the club in the game.
