Any good locations for early game loot? Anything of value i should pick up before heading into Diamond City?

When I play Fallout 4, I like to explore the nearby areas on my way to Diamond City. I also do some Minutemen sidequests, search for junk, gain experience, level up.

There isn't anything I can think of that is 'must-have' before reaching Diamond City.

Maybe search all the containers in Sanctuary and look for the army fatigues underarmor. It gives strenght for a larger inventory.

There is also a basement bunker in Sanctuary, behind one of the houses. I think you can find a gold bar, which is a pretty cool and rare item if you like collecting.

IK theres fusion cores and a usable sentry bot in robotics disposal ground, and i think a fat man nearby.

Behind Red Rocket, where you meet Dogmeat, there is a cave and I think there might be a fusion core.

Theres one + a helmet between sanctuary and ranger cabin.

just get explosive modifier on any automatic weap insta win button.

Look at guides theres like a whole bunch of good locations. Sanctuary cellar has good loot. The other loots are scattered around like power armors in train cars.

"fallout" 4 isn't a fallout game, you should check out the originals and/or new vegas

Install porn mods from loverslab com

I just did all the quests slowly and I hate minutemen and I joined brotherhood of steel but I hate them too I built my sanctuary up and have 18 dudes there working and farming and getting purified water which is valuable and good to become rich

I cheated a bit because I'm on pc with mods and stuff but I didn't play fallout for a week now im playing rust instead. My fallout 4 dude is level 45

Just search for special type weapons. Its been ages since I played that game but I remember that the weapon range is small so ammo should not be too much of a worry.

play new vegas instead
Fallout 4 is a boring and vapid game

The graphics might be bad in new vegas but the story and world are alot more well made then fallout 4
Especially considering they had time constraints

Fallout 4 had no time constraints and its still a shit game

Fair enough then

Ive played through new vegas so many times now that It is boring to me but Ive been playing it since I was a kid so I would say it had a pretty good run

Ive only been able to finish fallout 4 twice in my life
The first time was when I was 13 and I was very excited to play a new fallout since I was a fan of it for years and then being very disappointed by the piece of shit I had wasted my money on
I only finished it to get my moneys worth out of it

I finished It a second time Recently and I wont lie I enjoyed it but Only because I had alot of mods installed
I would never be able to force myself to play through the shitty Original version of the game ever again its so fucking boring

I dont understand how anyone could ever say it is a good game or That it is their favourite fallout game

Yeah started playing Fallout 4 again recently. Got side tracked just setting up settlements but bored pretty quick. Probably should get back on track with the tasks.

Iirc there’s a 8 crank musket rifle spawn in the swamp area to the far south. Not really a good weapon but it’s fun. Also go to libertalia (bandit camp made out of a bunch of ships) to get the terrible shotgun.

You should check out underrail which has some inspiration from the original two fallouts.

Thats late game shit tbh.

Well fallout 4 is easy as faurk so might as well do it. Not like those guns are going to be good by the time you get to the end game anyways.

Disappointed by the FO4 slander in this thread. :feelsUgh:

Yes, it had its issues: Yes, it was flawed compared to other FO games, but it was the first one I ever played & thus has sentimental value to me.

Not to mention, I don't have a PC, and this is the only one on Console that we can mod(albeit limited)

You can buy the Overseer's Guardian in Vault 81 at the west of Diamond City. It's a combat rifle with a two-shot legendary effect sold by a foid vault dweller named Alexis for around 1600 caps IIRC.

If you don't have enough caps, there are 3 gold bars in the root cellar of the house in Sanctuary, which you can sell each for 450 caps.
