I hate this life, so must i fear death? Why must i fear nothingness? Ive been having existential dread lately relating to consciousness. I feel like a prisoner, all my thoughts and actions are a byproduct of my previous experiences and genetics. i dont have free will? And what is free will anyways? I dont have choice over my will, but even if i did, it’s still not free.

We dont fear death necessarily. We fear dying without having experienced life to the fullest. If only we were born with good genes and into a wealthy family :feelscry:

It is hell for truecels

life is always hell I just learned live in hell

It's the act of killing myself that scares me, I wish I could just skip that, and go straight to instant non existence.

Both are quite scary. Sleeping is very peaceful, but i cant seem to accept nothingness eternally. Though ill have no choice when it inevitably occurs

Death is not the end

i’d just like to see your perspective is all
I just think things are too perfectly designed for it to be just a cosmic coincidence.

Plus certain things from the Bible ring true irl

I dont believe in hard determinism either. I dont believe everything is as exactly predicted from the beginning. But i do believe things like genetics and environment play a factor. I mean, it’s pretty in line with the bp

What i was trying to say was, how could heaven or hell be real if things such as genetics or environment play a factor in determining whether or not you are religious in the first place? If im in the slums of mumbai eating cow shit, what are the odds i become Christian if it doesnt apply to my culture at all?

If they've never been able to hear of him I think he saves them too

Im not familiar with Christianity, but if you dont accept that Jesus died for your sins and sin, wouldn’t you go to hell? This would mean, despite them not choosing to sin, they’d still be sentenced to hell.

I think that only applies to those who have heard of Christ.

If you have no way of knowing about the Gospel than Im sure God would understand.
