The first experiment he used a "casual" pic which he said made him look like a "gremlin".
He got 1 match after swiping with that.
Then he tried redoing the profile with his professional pictures where he is at least a 7/10. He got three matches after 24 hours, of which at least one was a landwhale.
It clearly wasn't fake because he was clearly thinking "wtf? How I am not getting any matches? Why this landwhale?" and shocked/disappointed both after the first and second run of the experiment.
This is a guy who takes very good care of himself and has a good base. For added perspective, I don't think he did a body shot, but this is his body:

I'm one of the harshest raters on this site and I think he looks pretty good, about 7/10 especially considering the body.
