I'm a mestizo. I'm born and raised in the US. Throughout my entire life, people assume I don't speak English until I start talking in my flawless US-accented English; upon first glancing at me, Americans assume I'm a greasy little foreigner that just landed. I notice that good-looking ethnics do not get this treatment, and are often assumed to speak English. With 8 or above Chadriguezes, Chadpreets (like Hamza), or Changs, people assume that they're integrated into the country they're living in, but when people think you don't speak English, its a sign that you give off a homely third-world vibe.

Have any ethnic-cels had this experience?

Yes, I have experienced this regularly.

It's usually the first thing people say to me.

Yes, even at work people assume I don’t speak English and talk to me on Spanish, I guess I give off a low class “vibe” like I just crossed the border and am looking for work. I’m even pretty tall for a Latino but that doesn’t make a difference with my ugly low value ethnic face and dark skin. People treat me like absolute shit.

There are fates worse than this, like my Curryland, where we are expected to know and speak fluent English if we want to be considered at least a respectable person in society even though we have our own language which is sophisticated enough with thousands of years of literature. People assume us high class and high iq only when curries can speak English else considered subhuman even in Curryland

Oh god i feel this in my bones. People think I'm all kinds of ethnic. Someone literally asked if i was an Afgan...
