There are two factors which determine the evolution of any sex-based organism: environmental selection and sexual selection. Human evolution is no longer determined by environmental selection because of the creation of human culture approximately 70,000 years ago. Humans can effectively create tools which help them to adapt to almost any environment without significant physical changes. As a result of this, the future of human evolution will almost exclusively be a result of sexual selection.
To summarize, sexual selection is what various sexes in a species desire from their mates. Though sexual selection can be influenced by environmental factors, this is not always the case. The best example of this is the plumage of the peacock. Although it's large tail is disadvantageous to it in the jungle, peahens select it because it is a symbol of strength and dexterity. The same can be said of a lion's mane, the darker the better, despite the heat of the savanna. What I posit is that a consequence of women's global liberation and sexual empowerment is that their mating choices will cause the human species to diverge into several different species (speciation).
As for what species will emerge, I have a strong suspicion that human speciation will be determined by the quality of mate available to each man. I have a suspicion that three major speciation events will occur:
- The "Alphas" aka Gorillas:
On a scale from 1-10, most of these men will be 8's, 9's, and 10's. These men will form gorilla style harems where they will have exclusive access to the most attractive females. On a range from 1-10, most of their concubines will range from 3-10. These numbers are of course strongly based upon the fact that in humanity's ancestral past only 40% of men got to mate with 80% of women. With female choice unlocked, I have a strong suspicion that human mating will trend backward towards this equilibrium.
Women will naturally form these harems for two reasons. There will not be enough attractive mates available to them based upon their high standards, and this arrangement is the one where they actually have the least amount of sex. Although, competition for resources in this environment will be very competitive, women will have guaranteed access to the best mates. I imagine these societies to look very similar to mad max.
- The "Betas" aka Bonobos: These are today's normal average guys (4's, 5's, 6's, and 7's), and absolutely unwanted females (1-2). These men will be forced to make lemonade out of sour lemons. The most unattractive women will have harems of men because these men will have absolutely no other women to mate with. With the death of monogamy, men must become tolerant to the idea that they will have to share one female with several other males. Those who refuse to will die alone.
Unattractive women will naturally make this choice because they will still require resources and a safe environment for their children. Several men will gladly make this trade because the probability of sexual reproduction will be enough to sway them, despite the degree of paternity uncertainty in such an environment. I imagine their ultimate future to be similar to borg from star trek, where borg queens will form some kind of hive like consciousness with thousands of men doing their bidding. I also suspect that because of the lack of female sex, men will largely turn to having sex with one another or simultaneously with said female.
- The "Omegas" aka... Incels: These are the 1, 2, and 3 guys. Our option is... extinction. However, there is a glimmer of hope. With the emergence of the artificial womb and sex robots, we will be able to truly achieve Elliot Rodger's vision. A world without sex, or at least, one where every man will have access to it. Freed from the burden of female selection, these men will rise to new cultural and scientific heights.
