If you think about it, despite his loneliness pushing him over the edge, he stayed true to himself and still held a positive outlook on life. In other words he saw the value in himself when no one else did and truly recognized what made him unique. He saw himself as sophisticated, rich and powerful. Despite the crippling loneliness he still held pride in his BMW, designer clothes and his intelligence.
In my opinion, everyone here should be more like Elliot Rodger where despite the crushing loneliness he faced he still recognized what made him superior hence his Moniker the Supreme Gentleman.
