Durians are awesome, I have a pack of frozen durian in my fridge right now. TBH it doesn't even smell that bad. Everyone tries to make it out like it's so awful it makes people puke like a chemical weapon, but it's just funky like certain cheeses are funky. I would not smell it all day long but it's not puke inducing or unappetizing.
Though don't drink alcohol when eating durian, or you're going to fart for days.
