I recently ran out of money and dropped out of my senior year of college. To put into perspective what I was leaving, I was studying physics in a state with higher educational standards, had a fluorescence microscopy research job, and got an A in quantum mechanics right before I left.
I got a near minimum wage job interview recently, and the manager asked if I could count. I said yes, and she proceeded to tell me younger people these days can't count because of the transition from common core curriculums in school. I have no idea what the fuck she was on about, but this dumbass either didn't know what physics was, didn't know the amount of math that goes into a physics degree, or didn't think my education meant a damn thing with how she thought she had to ask if I could do math. Has anyone else been in such a patronizing position?
