I don't think there is some inherent thing to do "as a man" in the grand scheme of things. We as humans desire to reproduce sure but that is because our brain has shaped so over the years due to Natural selection.
There is no "meant to". There is no inherent purpose. We as humans tend to magicfy our life because looking at it as what it is (A 1/400 trillion possibility of the right aggregation of organic matter that seeks to multiply until it replenishes a billion years from now with the whole event not even registering as a blip in the grand scheme of universe) makes it bleak.
