Not in a shithole such as Russia. Those are unfortunate men that were most likely conscripted against their own will from some god-forsaken place in rural Russia where life is constant struggle. Either that or mercenaries, but who would volunteer and risk their life if not because of poverty ? No one cares about them either. Death would be a release for many of them. It's just bad luck.
