It's the fact that Dream Theater plays their own instruments, and any digital effects are manipulated by foot using peddles, which in my mind (and as someone who can do a little bit of it as well) takes more skill and hard work when compared to pressing buttons solely using midi keyboard or mouse via software.
Then we have the actual music itself. It's all synthetic drum heavy club/rave style music.

Fair enough. @based_meme 's gives me a very cringe feeling of weirdness. DT on the other hand is just ole fashioned progressive heavy metal by way of band members coordinating a use of hands, wrists and feet to make sound from amplifiers. But the method isn't my biggest issue, it's the style and sound of music from Vicious Delicious that bothers me. Digital software music is all great, and working alone to make it is preferable of course, but..the end product has to be good.I like both of them
