high functioning autism is worse than low functioning arguably because everyone wants to cut you off and finding "support" is incredibly difficult considering you are CAPABLE of functioning but still suffer from identical sensory overload and other symptoms. Basically working 10x harder to just appear normal without the help of anyone else and way less excuses.
