Serious does the photo or mirror more accurately reflect your looks?

Photo. Also, when you look yourself in mirror, that’s not how people see you obviously because of the reflection. But that’s something your probably already know. It’s always weird when I see other people in mirrors kek

but doesnt the photo distort your face?

The image you see in the mirror is flipped horizontally, plus you get used to seeing yourself that way because you've seen that flipped image in the mirror so often. A photo accurately shows how other people see you.

I think two mirrors placed next to each other will show your true look. That way it's symmetrical as how other people see you and there is no pixels involved. It will also be in 3D as opposed to a photo which is 2D.

Basically this.

but wouldnt lens distortion make the photo inaccurate?

Possibly, but you asked which one is more accurate. I would trust the camera over the mirror.

Neither. A video would be the most accurate.

Photos can distort your appeareance because of lens distortion, ''angle of view'' and focal distance:

Basically, some cameras can really give you a big nose effect (smartphones) and other can flatten your face. It drastically change the appearance of your bone structure... Human eyes are set to have 50mm focal d.

Same goes for mirrors, they usually have a set distortion. For example, I don't look same the when I look at myself in my bathroom mirrors versus my bedroom's mirror. The lighting plays another fundamental role in defining your bone structure. In my bathroom, I look under-average but in the subway train, when I look at myself in the door's reflection I look subhuman,,,

I love how a loli looks angelic regardless of the used lenses.

In both I look bad,so doesn't matter.

I look decent in the mirror, but like a complete subhuman in pictures

If you have a mirror perpindicular to another mirror you can see your own reflection more accurately (without it being the opposite horizontally), I see this in elevators at work. I bet those mirrors are the most accurate, followed by a high quality camera from a couple of meters. Mirror and angled selfies are coping.

Photo taken with a DSLR w/ 50mm lens is the most accurate way to see how you look like to other people.

Mirror, but under non cherrypick lightning and in candid setting

You're only as good as your worse angle.

Accidentally turning your front camera on is about how you look to the world.
