Serious Does limb lengthening actually cause paralysis?

Is this just a rumor or what? Can it actually lead to paralysis in your legs? Can any incel weigh me in on this, because I'm a 5'6 manlet who used to consider it but after hearing all these stories about how it causes "paralysis" (mainly from users on discord), I'm feeling a little bit scared to actually perform the surgery.
