Serious Does DoorDash/ other food delivery services pay well?

Asking cause I'm considering signing up to be a driver as a second job to make money on the side and I've heard you make $1000 usd a week assuming all goes well and you network properly. only negative complaints I've heard are mainly the amount of time it takes to actually get contracted and the overall commuting endorsement system it operates upon. any bros out there have any experience?

I don’t think it does, I frequently hear it being below minimum wage cause you have to pay for petrol and shit
