I mined Monero in my uni apartment for a while before I dropped out. I only made like 30 dollars a month, but that was plenty for covering some of my bills considering that I wasn't paying for the power. I thought I got caught when housing officials emailed me about unusual consumption , but it turns out it was water consumption from I presume a leak or something. Anyways, there's not a lot of money to be made mining if that's your intension.
