Does anyone else wish you could earn a living without interacting with anyone?

I think the reason I dread wageslaving so much, other than the fact that I won't just get to lay in bed all day being lazy on the PC, is that it involves interacting with people.

I don't want any bosses. I don't want any colleagues. I don't want to have to leave the house every day to be in a place surrounded by people all day. I don't want any clients either. I don't want any interaction at all, not even when selling things to someone.

This is pretty much impossible unfortunately. Unless you're some genius programmer who can make something that people will buy, but that ship has sailed for most people and you'd need to be exceptional to do this. And I'm too ADD to learn programming anyway, I tried.

Yeah it really is a fantastic scenario, isn't it? Unfortunately most remote/online jobs (except programming) end up being even more hellish experiences than regular jobs. And on top of the increased workload and lesser pay, you still have to interact with people, at least the boss who is on your ass all the time, stressing you out with deadlines and constant tasks. Or if it's one of those more freelancer type of gigs, there's a different kind of stress there.

Hermitmaxxing would be a dream come true but it's undoable for most people unfortunately.

Very true, it requires quite a large initial investment, otherwise it will be so uncomfortable nobody would last too long. Furthermore, the biggest hurdle is the logistic of it and the stress and pressure of such a giant change. It's simply too much for most people. It requires huge balls to do such a thing, it requires energy which most people like us don't have.

In my experience, everything in this life ends up being needlessly complicated and tiresome. Even going to the dentist is a much bigger hurdle than I ever thought it would be. So I can imagine going hermit mode would have so many unexpected complications. Life always, ALWAYS finds a way to say fuck you buddy!

yeah it's one of the few jobs that gives you chance to create your own stuff and not depend on working for companies forever.
how did you start with programming? If it was the computer science way then that's useless. java / calculus / c++ shit like that is not needed at all to be a programmer

I tried to get into python but tbh I thought it was too useless so I didn't bother much with it. Barely an hour or two of trying. I'm so ADD and lazy that that amount of time is actually a lot for me to try at something. But I was never serious about python, seems like a garbage pointless language that reddit shills.

I viewed Java and C# as way more important than python. But I didn't get far and didn't try much either. They were also very, very confusing. Incredibly confusing for me, I'd fail at things that probably most people understood right away tbh. Weird autistic brain.

In that case I advise you to dedicate a bit of time every day talking care of your health, if you ever want to be a hermit in the future. It's already impossible for me. First of all, take care of your teeth. Brush twice a day at least, try to clean your mouth after each time you eat, don't snack and don't eat sweets. My teeth are fucked beyond belief. Honestly, there's probably 70 year olds out there with better teeth than mine. And you can't be a hermit with teeth problems. Maybe if you took them all out and got dentures, but fillings and shit won't work, I have several nerves that were pulled out and the fillings just keep falling every few months.

Anyway, besides taking care of your teeth, don't drink. I fucked up my pancreas and a bit my heart that way. Can't be a hermit with a bad heart cause moving around too much feels more exhausting somehow, idk. Also the pancreas means you must watch what you eat, and you get constant diarrhea. I take like 3 shits a day, all liquid. Tmi.

Well, this post was pretty pointless but I just wanted to make sure you take care of your health. Even if you don't become a hermit, health is so important. But most young people are too lazy to do something about it, me included.

Ohh right there's also the eyesight. I guess you could just buy like 10 or 20 pairs of glasses before you go full on hermit, but if your prescription changes you'd have to go back to society for a bit.

those languages are kinda boring imo because you can't directly see any useful result of what you're doing, I started with Java because of college but dropped it and learned Javascript to start making websites, it was way more entertaining and the tutorials for web programming are miles ahead than those for the boring languages like Java / c#
Also when youre on the pc all day at some point you just get bored of vidya / other copes but programming is always there and you can do useful and maybe profitable stuff if you take the time to make something that other people can use
