Serious Does anyone else fucking hate GenAI?

I fucking hate Generative AI. I'm not an artist, so I will not talk about how it replaces creativity or whatever.

Instead I will focus my angle as the average person.

While I dislike obvious AI slop, like the disturbing food pictures and cringe human cat videos, they are largely easily spotted and harmless.

Even the AI knowledge shorts videos are not that bad. "Have you ever wondered" scripts at least provide some value by having the AI do the research and provide facts that you can easily check yourself.

The reason I trust the AI slop videos is because they can be easily verified, and AI is actually surprisingly good at macro facts and aggregated trends and bad at micro details.

I hate generative AI, because it is mostly used to create hyper realistic fake videos. You can no longer trust videos on the internet; how bad is it? Bad enough that it is literally creeping onto completely mundane videos, such as pet videos. I'm not talking about the pet videos where a dog does impossible tricks, but completely mundane ones like a dog hugging a owner — why do these have to be faked too?

In addition, footages from non-famous/established channels have to be constantly scrunitized because you never know whether something is real or not.

I'm not being against the small YouTubers, but they have to be established in their categories/niches, like for example, for WW2 aviation, Greg's Airplanes and Automobiles is an example of a non-famous (outside of niche) and yet established channel.

It has gotten so bad that I have to use "before:2023" tag when I want to watch authentic content, ranging from porn (this field literally spawned deep fakes) to camera footages.

I hate generative AI, because it is mostly used to create hyper realistic fake videos. You can no longer trust videos on the internet; how bad is it? Bad enough that it is literally creeping onto completely mundane videos, such as pet videos. In addition, footages from non-famous/established channels have to be constantly scrunitized because you never know whether something is real or not.

The issue is that it’s too late now, you can’t put the toothpaste back in the tube, we’re stuck with it.

I was very skeptical of AI upon it's debut—from LLMs, to image generation, to video generation, to writing code, to generating music, &c. As time went on, however, I eventually became indifferent to it; and beyond that, I even began to appreciate it. Now-a-days, I almost entirely support AI and any implementations of it—with the only exception being those AIs used to detect breast cancer early, LMAO.

The driving force behind my change of mind was primarily the fact that AI put retards out of their jobs. Really, how does AI affect me as an incel? Sure, you occasionally get the post here in ID that was obviously generated using an LLM, but it doesn't really bother me that much, and anyway, some people genuinely need to use it for one reason or another.

Meanwhile, amongst normals, AI was putting said soyshitters out of their hobbies and jobs left and right.

- No longer did I have to see some gay faggot talk about his art like it was anything particularly impressive, because anyone could now express their creative thoughts through an image generator, and weren't held back by the fact they didn't have the time (or in my and many other people's cases, IQ) to learn how to draw.

- No longer did anyone have to go to some degenerate furfag online and pay them an exorbiant sum in order to have their ideas for OCs drawn, because you could just take it to ChatGPT for free—ultimately leaving the loathsome normroach bereft of 120 bucks.

- No longer did you have to dig through thousands of web search results to find something you needed, because AI could do it for you.

- No longer did you have to rely on other human beings—who undoubtedly despised you—to get some semblance of social interaction, because you could just take it to a chatbot instead!

AI provides far too many boons for me the dislike it. I think it's a great thing and I'm glad that something like it came about during our times, and it's one of the few wins we, as incels, can have said to had in the past two decades. I doubt it will ever reach the level where it actually puts enough people out of their jobs that we get something like UBI, though, but that's not much of a concern to me. It's good enough as is, to be honest.

AI-generated videos are also fairly easy to spot unless the person creating it is really smart about hiding the fact it's AI. Either way, I'm not too concerned about it, retards have been faking videos since the dawn of the internet, anyway. You just have to apply logic and be more skeptical of videos more often methinks.

Also, by the nature of AI merely being a tool, the 'slop' that people screech about is virtually undetectable if the person using the AI wants to put in effort towards the output. Before AI existed we had 'slop' in the forms of low-effort content all the time, AI changed nothing on that front. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that the vast majority of 'slop' was created by the people crying about AI today—pick up any literature book in a book store and see how abysmal it is to read, LMAO!

As long as they somehow find a way to export the waste products to other countries to deal with and suffer from, then we'll be fine.
