I hope this doesn't sound like a childish question, I just wanna know about your experiences.
Both my parents are coming close to 60, my mom isn't a big fan and does not have a kind of boldness when playing something that came out after 1988. Had her play God of War once in easy mode, she almost died cuz she barely figured how to move. My dad on the other hand isn't interested in the slightest it seems, he thinks games now don't look like much different from Galaga, the last videogame he remembers (of course he knows there's been technological advancement, but he really has NO IDEA).
They were never interested in videogames at all EVER, aside from a quick amusement (mom) or straight up a waste of time (dad), in fact they never bought me a console, when I was 14 and kept asking they told me "get a job and buy one" (almost 20 and can't find a job v.v) so I spent all my life in the piracy shiee.
Although sometimes I hear some uplifting things about this, my biggest hobby, for example they like some videogame based movies and tell me it wouldn't be too bad to play sometime. So now I gotta get a job just to prove a 15 year old point.

Anyway, what about ye lads?

Not at all XD

My dad and I used to play Mario kart when I was a kid. He used to play Warcraft on his PC. I don’t think he plays games anymore.

My father was interested when he was younger but I don’t think they care much aside from that

My dad loved Bomberman and remember him letting me play and also other games on pegasus (snes clone). Well now he is dead so he won't be playing anything anymore

My Dad played the Alex Kidd games when I was very little, and then he hated games forever since that. I don't know what happened.

They think video games are for toddlers.

Nope. Both of them think that gaming is a waste of time and is for little kids. They have never touched a game controller in their lives

Isn't it funny how video games are "just for little kids", but we need to implement age restrictions that prevent kids from playing le hecking violent video games. They just twist their words to fit whatever narrative they want to push at that moment :feelsclown:

Precisely.

Nah, not really

My dad introduced me into gaming, I used to sit in his lap whilst he played PS1 but my mum hates it with a burning passion.

My father likes fortnite but only from te to time

He usually watches redpiltards talking bout how to get rich with properties, cuz hes an architeqt

My parents are the same. They have this retarded view that games are just "press button to make explosion WOW!" You can be playing the most demanding multiplayer game, keeping track of many things around you and working your brain out, but all they see is "gun goes brrrr :feelstastyman: "

They’re boomers/Gen X so no

Yeah my dad seemed to mostly like the games like Galaga and Space Invaders type of arcade shooters that he’d actually play on their original arcade cabinets in our local bar and grill at the time.

He may have also played Pac Man and the original Donkey Kong and liked them as well also on their original arcade cabinets and I think both of my parents liked and enjoyed the goofy whac a mole game which we’d play at our town’s arcade called “two bit operation”.

After that I THINK we played the NES Contra port together, Super Mario Brothers, Mario 3 and Super C but also Duck Hunt which he LOVED as an outdoorsman hunting and fishing gun nut but he was particularly good at Rush n’ Attack ie the NES port which I was quite jealous about at the time as I loved that damn game lol.

I think however because he grew up poor he wouldn’t actually buy me a lot of games but we did rent that game and others quite often from my local town’s video and videogame rental store which was also a gas station I believe called Kurvan’s South which has been shut down for years even though the building still exists.

It also used to sell pizza and fountain soft drinks but I don’t remember if I ever got any food or candy there which is strange for a fat man to admit but it’s true.

Mother played tons of mario, dad does not like video games for some reason.

Yeah my dad got real deep into Mortal Kombat when it first came out. He also played the X-men and Gauntlet Legends arcade games with me and my siblings .

I wish. Both of my parents hate video games. Both are Boomers.

No tried getting them into it just not working

they hate it with every cell in their body and claim that i am balding because of too much videogames

My father played River Raid and Henry House, but his enthusiasm didn't last long. That was good for us.
