This is why im skeptical about using one

+1 . if you need an online password manager you can use bitwarden for offline keepass is pretty good
yeah, there are many good encrypted ones.

They still sketch me out.
Like what if I lose access to it and cant log into anything
back up database file onto separate hard drives or even though i wouldnt recommend it you can store the database file in the cloud

I used Dashlane before they got rid of their free plan. Used it reliably since 2019.

Now I just use Google's password manager. Been too lazy to move to something else.

you mean autofill?

Yes.

1Password.

One of the best decisions I ever made software wise even though it costs money.

I was tired of Firefox and Apple not remembering my passwords as well losing or forgetting which ones went with what and or were current in my wordpad document I’d had set up for this.

You should be using one because it allows you to generate unique and strong passwords for each account.

I use KeePass 2. Since I installed it, I have created multiply unique passwords for my accounts

Idk, some are saved, some aren't.

I use variations of the same few things. I used to be almost always be able to recall them, for dozens of different things, but my memory has been raped by decades of solitude and despair, so I forget them now.

Yes, thank you.

This thread I believe informed me or made me realize I need to do that soon or at least for my most important accounts anyway.

Nah, I have like 4 passwords I cycle through.

"Blah"? Browsers, such as Google Chrome, all have built-in password managers.

yes , keepass is insanely secure. you can backup the file multiple times on physical and virtual locations , i would definetely recommend.

I use autofill since most of my passwords aren't memorable
