When I order Starbucks, they ask me for my name. It's hard to pronounce, but I always say my real name because I don't like to lie.

Should I just use another name that's easier to say? Like John or something.

Lol. It's actually nothing special. And it helps you feel better. Like a person who dresses in a suit and tie feels more professional, a new name can give you a boost of kunfidence and well being, especially if some bully fags dragged your original name through the dirt.
You feel excellent the first time you lie about your name. Especially if you are high inhib, but you will always get away with it. You are a new person now if you keep introducing yourself with the new name.
You can also use different names to make it harder to get stalked by people but that's not as exciting as sticking with one made up name for some time.

Last name = I use a more common surname online so as to maximize my privacy. This surname is what my last name would have been if my ancestors didn't have their name changed at Ellis Island, so I wouldn't say I'm stretching the truth too much.
