Well givin one clear definition of facism is pretty much impossible if you compare different states that either considered themselves as facist or are consider as facists, f.e. there are huge differences between the italian facism, the german and the spanish facism. Even if you look at the country of its origin, Italy you couldnt give a clear definition since the italian facism in the beginning were different from the one when it ended.

A bit of both. Technology has gave them unlimited access to attention and high caliber men which they would have never had in the past.
