Do you think we'd be so desperate for affection if we weren't brainwashed with disney-esque romance from a young age?

The concept of "love" as we all know is actually just chemicals. So is the idea of "romantic love" something that is innate or are we brainwashed into believing it's true with all the rom-coms in media? Obviously sex is a biological need but what about romance?

Not as much desire for romance imo, but social validation ala the “power of friendship” or something less retarded about friendship would still be ingrained in us. The idea of having friends and allies seems more historically solidified than the utility of romantic relationships.

Nah. We need affection. We are social creatures. Affection is alot like food.

If it weren't for mass media, we wouldn't even know what love is.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but if people could just shut up about it, people like us could live in blissful ignorance.

It's not brainwashing, I would rather not feel the need for romantic affection but biology is too strong.

I honestly can't picture myself a caveman searching for ''romantic love''

Bluepilled conditioning from the media is a necessity, do you realize what could happen if every guy suddenly became blackpilled?

Yes, but there is love generated by truthful feelings, it's just rare because it requires humanity (and therefore higher than animalesque scripting), and most people will never be able to develop it, or have the potential to, but refuse. This kind of love is characterized by wanting your relationship to last forever, unlike finite sexual attraction caused by chemicals.
So, answering the topic, I don't think so.

Cavemans were transitioning into more animal-like traits and civilizational traits. The starting point was probably the end of nomadism and need for contact caused by it.

I talked to my crush once, and I would give anything to do so again.

Yeah but I think that could be replaced by friendships with men

Disney never brainwashed me. The first Disney film I saw, I think, was Robin Hood. And I hated mushy stuff. I was big brat and I made a deliberate point to side with Prince John. I hated all those goody good guys.

Fighting the good fight
Resisting disney movies

same. When I was a little kid I loved the evil villains. I loved the CIS in Star wars and shit. I loved the joker. tbh I could see those guys were based as shit

Disney definitely left me expecting teen love like Troy & Gabriella or Riley & Lucas or Alex & Mason or Zac & Maya or Chad & Sonny

Exactly, this romantic idea is implanted in our minds, it has no basis in reality
