From what I remember reading they seemed more or less like failed normies. Dylan had a history with girls. He was a tall dude with a crazy sense of fashion. But he always seemed pretty beta to me. He happened to share some proclivities with Eric which put him on the outside. Eric seemed more like a mentalcel.
