Remember there was a poll not too long ago where the distribution was dumbbell-shaped. Polls for IQ might not be that impressive of an indicator, but still.
This matches what might be the general distribution found amongst autists, once you take into account many high IQ autists are able to cope well enough to go undetected / undiagnosed.
In general, I suspect this place selects against High IQ people, because
a) many of them manage to moneymaxx enough to get a girl to settle for / use them,
b) many of them enter academia where they end up completly brainwashed for life,
c) this space and others like it are low status, you need a specific personality profile to choose to enter and stay here despite the costs. Lower IQ people might not realize this as clearly or early as higher IQ people, smarter people might never have entered in the first place out of reluctance to associate with a group of social outcasts.
In the argument over "Are rightwingers low IQ?" someone made the point that, while both left and right lie about evolution and deny science, there is a difference between denying reality out of ignorance and stupidity or doing so for ideological reasons. Getting it wrong because you choose to do so because you are part of a cult is less of a predictor for low IQ than simply getting it wrong out of incompetence. Which is why the insanity of leftists does not predict them to be stupid to the degree you might expect after seeing how basic the logical errors they make and how see-through the lies they embrace.
So, I would guess we have a split between high and low IQ people, with less in the middle and with a large % on the lower end of the spectrum.
