18 is the age of majority yet society keeps raising everything to 21. we raised the drinking age to 21 in the mid-1980s. we now are trying to raise the tobacco age to 21 and the gun purchase age to 21. i now hear people online say we should raise the voting age to 21. the slippery slope is getting more and more insane. if we keep raising everything to 21, the age of majority could be raised to 21.
it seems like feminazis online will get pissed off if you think some 18 year old is hot. people online also constantly whine about age gaps between two legal adults. they're all like "18 year olds shouldn't date a 26 year old", "20 year olds shouldn't date 28 year olds", "19 year olds shouldn't date 27 year olds", "22 year olds shouldn't date 35 year olds", etc. i've seen a couple of people say to raise the age of consent to 21 and to raise the porn age to 21. i've heard someone say we should raise the military age to 21.
do you think in a couple decades, there will be a movement to raise the age of consent to 21? I think it'll happen in the future. they'll try to raise the age of consent to 21, raise the porn age to 21 and even raise the age of majority to 21. all this will do is lead to a large percent of porn videos being removed online, many pornstars losing their jobs, many men being arrested for consensual sex with 18-20 year olds, etc.
America is the only country that tries to raise everything to 21. in Europe, we give 18 year olds all the freedom they can have, including the right to drink. and people in Europe are doing just fine, European countries often have lower drinking and driving rates.
