Freedom always seemed like a very important thing to me, seeing as I'm the laziest person alive. The freedom to rot alone in my bed was very important to me, since I was a kid I often fought with my parents to just be left alone rotting in front of a screen.

And society obviously preaches about freedom and how it's the supreme value. But I've been thinking, is "freedom" really a good thing?

We're not really "free" anyway. We have to go to school during our entire youth, then we have to work for 8+ hours a day till we die. But all that "freedom" really does is allow complete degradation and degeneracy is every aspect other than the economy.

I'm starting to think a totalitarian regime (with a free market economy since planned ones don't seem to work) might be better. We'd be slaves working all our lives just like now. But I doubt there'd be as many incels in a totalitarian system. Everything would be ordered, organized, controlled. No degeneracy, no promiscuity, no chaos.

Ehh that's probably just naive idealizing because I dislike the current system so much. Really I'm just lazy and I don't want to be a wageslave for pennies without any rewards for the drudgery while still being an incel, so I'm chimping out about freedom.

Most people are cattle that exists to be used as tool to meet a goal set by their owners. Having a farm run by cattle makes no sense, having a farm run by farm owners makes sense. Same applies to societies. People who are superior to others will always accumulate more power than the others and then use that power to leverage others into being useful to them. Very true. Really only ascetics who can live on little or nothing at all or the very rich who have 'fuck-you' money are free men in our society. Everybody else needs to play by the rules, follow speech codes and think approved thoughts - the consequence of not following the rules leads to societal ostracism and/or loss of status and income. Your 'freedom' in practice is limited to a domain of largely pre-made, pre-approved consumerist/identity/lifestyle choices - in which you are guided less and less by tradition, religion and culture. It's the bugmanifcation of our world.

Whenever people speak about 'freedom' or 'democracy' or any other liberal abstraction or label loaded with associations you gotta ask yourself what are they talking about exactly? Freedom from what type of oppression(s)? Freedom to do what exactly?
