I used to shave them sometimes, but not anymore. I don't have that much tbh
Get a high quality pocket knife and "test it" often for sharpness. If it shaves, it's sharp. (No regular stainless steel unless it's "C". High carbon)

I shave/trim my forearms/arms sometimes so they look bigger, more defined and more vascular srs. I have very hairy arms, hands and fingers
