I bet many youngcels don't. I was 7 at the end of 1999 and I still have a few diary entries I wrote at the time, in one of the diaries I drew a picture of me sitting in an inflatable chair playing the PlayStation. I had my first crush in 2000, the singer Anastasia and I also remember having a crush on one of the girls from Sabrina the teenage witch. I remember printing out photos of her.

Women were quite plain back then, they wore sweat pants and baggy t shirts, nothing compared to now. Another strange memory I have is when I got up to watch cartoons on a Saturday morning and there was a young woman in a leather jacket sitting in the kitchen, I ran back to my room as soon as I saw her. It turned out that my brother had brought her back from a party, I bet she thought i was a beta running away from her.

You missed out on the 1980’s, 1970’s, 1960’s, 1950’s and so on. The 1990’s was largely the start of all this bullshit with the beginning popularity of the internet, the foundation of what we have today. But yes, any time in history is probably better than now, just because of the easier ability to form a relationship.

You were kid then too though, from what I remember the early 2000s weren't that different, well even the mid 2000s actually, the invent of the smart phone changed society. I remember up until 2007 I used to record TV on VHS tapes.

I was born in 1998 and yet have memories from the early 00s. It’s just that my memories from the late 00s were better.

I wish I was born at least a decade earlier so I could've been one of those cool kids with frosted tips playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater on the PS1 or Goldeneye on the N64, though that was a thing when I started to remember, too.
