As much evidence as we have there is still this nagging feeling that there is SOMETHING. I lean towards reincarnation these days. Eternal nothingness is scary ngl.

Whatever there is, it wants you to stop drinking. It sent me as a messenger, you can still turn things around, just give up drinking for good.

There is no evidence that there is nothing after death. Rather, there is more evidence for reincarnation, as there is no theory to explain how consciousness would suddenly begin and end to exist.

I believe in Incelhalla, where we will meet with blackops2cel and all our fellow truecels once again

I love talking about that topic.
Well, no one can tell what comes after death.
But no one needs to be afraid of "eternal nothingness".
What did you do all the time before you were born?
Was it scary?
There it is. There you have your answer.

Yes I do, there is nothing and our lives are completely meaningless

See, that's something I've thought of often, how would a consciousness just vanish? It doesn't make any sense and if I try to think about it logically then it's just a blank. That's why I think that there has to be something after death.

And to also to add, even the religions that do believe in reincarnation largely see it as something to be escaped. I.e. the attainment of nirvana in Buddhism and Hinduism. The void is something to stroven for. Im not surr if Nirvana is even an "afterlife" per se or just the cessation if consciousness, and hence, suffering

Thankfully, no. If I still did, I'd probably have done something crazy on Call of Duty at this point.

Trust me there's nothing after death. You've got live this life to the fullest, oh sorry, I forgot we can't.

As someone once said : there is something after your death, the world keep spinning, it's just that you're not part of it anymore.

I mean, it's amazing how so many people can not comprehend a world in which they don't exist. Isn't that the ultimate narcissism ? One might even say it's a solipsistic view.

I have a religious belief or I would've roped long ago.

i believe you just cease to exist after death, of course i can't prove that belief so ultimately i don't know. i don't find it that frightening, when i'm dead i will be unable to care. i do accept other possible theories, such as reincarnation. for all i know, when i die i might find myself in a maternity ward in a hospital on the other side of the world, or perhaps even as another sentient being on some distant planet

In what sense that person would be "you" ?

I mean, what would be the difference between that baby being "you" and that same baby being "not you" ?

I think that baby will be, that's all, saying it would be you doesn't mean anything sensible or plausible (you can't seriously imagine that it will have your memories, for instance).

It's like saying "I wish I was some celebrity, like say Tom Cruse." What does that even mean ? You exist, and Tom Cruse exists. If anything about Tom Cruse were to change so that it's more like you, then it's not really Tom Cruse. What you probably mean is that you wish your body was swapped with Tom Cruse's. Anything else doesn't make much sense.

i worded it poorly, of course it wouldn't be "me"

Nothingness sounds peaceful. But I've started to feel inclined towards reincarnation lately. Why you are you and not someone else?
Think about it. If you hadn't been born then there wouldn't be the experience of a universe? When you die then the universe stops? Does something fills that void again with another life?
